The Place We Touch Connects Us Deeply
How am I shaped by my surroundings? What informs me? What does it mean to be in stillness and quiet? What appears distant or separate that I wish to engage? What do I need to touch?

Nature informs me, beauty informs me, my creativity informs me. I touch the sacred in the mundane, explore the metamorphosis in my surroundings. I venture out with a Hualapai ecologist to walk the land and learn. I am taken up and changed by my direct experience with the environment. I harvest, cook, beat, dye and shape. My work is of the earth, has a limited shelf life and will return to the earth. I design a reuse/recycle water system for my pulp and paper making process. I care about the footprint I leave on this planet.
